Following Living Wage Week (2nd – 8th November 2014) Stewart Jackson MP will be hosting a Peterborough Living Wage Conference. The conference will be taking place on Friday 21st November 2014 from 10am at the Salvation Army Citadel at Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough.

The conference will provide an opportunity for Stewart Jackson MP, the Living Wage Foundation and the local accredited employers in Peterborough to share information about the Living Wage, the benefits and their experiences.

Stewart first publicly backed the Living Wage Foundation back in November 2013, writing a column on the subject for the Peterborough Telegraph. During the 2014 Living Wage Week Mr Jackson will be visiting an accredited employer in the city.

The UK Living Wage for outside of London is currently £7.65 per hour but the refreshed wage level will be announced during Living Wage Week.

Stewart Jackson MP said:

“Currently there are only a few employers in Peterborough who are actually accredited by the Living Wage Foundation. My conference with the Living Wage Foundation will help explain the benefits of a Living Wage for business, families and society. It is a call to arms for businesses and organisations across Peterborough to join the Living Wage movement.”
