he Bombay Brasserie restaurant from Peterborough has been Highly Commended in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition. Unfortunately the Bombay Brasserie wasn’t selected to represent its region in the Grand Final of the Tiffin Cup 2014.  The Bombay Brasserie was nominated by Stewart Jackson MP.

The Bombay Brasserie will receive a certificate and embroidered Tiffin Cup 2014 chef jacket to mark their achievement in this year’s competition.

The Tiffin Cup champion will be chosen from a shortlist of 13 restaurants, each representing their region of Britain, on Tuesday 8th July 2014 in the Grand Final cook-off in the House of Commons.

Local MP Stewart Jackson said:

“I am delighted that The Bombay Brasserie has been Highly Commended in the Tiffin Cup. IT is unfortunate that they did not managed to reach the Grand Final, but this is such a prestigious award and to be honoured in this way is a testament to the fantastic efforts of all the staff.”

Keith Vaz MP, the co-chair of the Tiffin Cup said:

“We are delighted that The Bombay Brasserie has been Highly Commended in the Tiffin Cup 2013. This is a great tribute not just to the nomination of local MP Stewart Jackson but also to the constituency of Peterborough as a whole.”
