I recently met with Network Rail in Parliament to discuss the railway changes at the Werrington Junction where the East Coast Mainline (ECML) meets the Great North Great Eastern (GNGE) railway line.
Attached is a link to the update letter from Network Rail, which you should have received. In the letter, they set out changes to timescales for plans and construction which have been delayed and will see completion of the works in Autumn 2020.
You will note that Network Rail are holding information sessions on Friday 2nd October 3pm – 7pm and Saturday 3rd October 2.30pm – 6pm, at the Hodgson Community Centre where you can meet them and discuss further the proposals with members of Network Rail’s project team.
Network Rail are still developing their plans and have not yet been able to give more details regarding the dive-under proposal. They have promised to regularly update me and local residents. Please rest assured that I will be keeping a close eye on this project and look at their plans in detail as soon as they are made available to me.
In the meantime should you have any specific concerns or questions about Network Rail you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org or I can be contacted on email@example.com.
