Stewart Jackson MP has today welcomed new statistics that show the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance – the main unemployment benefit – has fallen by 2,400 in the East of England.

Welcoming the figures, Stewart Jackson MP said:

‘It’s great news that the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance is falling in the East of England.

‘British business is rising to the challenge of creating jobs and we’re determined to ensure that all hardworking people benefit from the recovery. There is always more to do, but these figures are encouraging.’
